Ragnarok M: Begginer's Guide

Here's a few tip for beginners to know/do. These are common knowledge specially to those who have played the Ragnarok M Chinese and Korea servers. So if you are those who have played the game long before it came out for Sea then you don't need to continue.

1. Dailies
Don't forget to do your dailies such as Board quest, Monster Resistance, Rift and Training ground. It will help you boost your level and acquire some items and or equips. I suggest before you do level grinding or boosting go get the monster resistance quest and use chain lightning for more exp boost and loots. Good accessories can be obtain from Rifts you can check the map for a loot list. Soon enough you can auto-complete these dailies. Complete the board quest by buying Mercenary Mission scrolls, Training ground by buying Training Ground Monster Report Scroll and Rift by buying Holy Grails all of these can be bought using meatballs.

2. Guild
Join a guild as soon as you can to farm for contributions and gold medals which is needed for Aeisr or what we call rune mapping. Filling up the runes will provide you additional skills, stats and effects. Each nodes has specific skill, stat and effects which requires a certain number of Contribution and or Gold medals. Gold medals are hard to come by I suggest if you have a chance to get them go and prioritize them specially if you need a certain skill in the runes. You can get them by donating a specific mvp loot with the npc at the guild hall, using 5 pcs of Adventurer coin or 5 pcs of Big Cat Celebration Voucher or 600 pcs of Poring's favor or 45 pcs of Guardian Medal and you can get 4pcs of Gold Medal on your Growth reward in Mentorship (1 pcs each reaching level 40, 50, 60 and 70).

3. Pet
At level 30 you can now catch pets then make them work at pet adventure and pet labor traveling machine. Try to get a chest in pet adventure by following the required pet for specific dungeons which shows at the bottom right of the dungeon screen. Opening the chest will give you a chance of acquiring rare materials like Racoon leaf, Four leaf clover, Antenna and also a chance to get cards and or blueprints. Mvp items like Racoon leaf and four leaf clover are important for leveling up your Adventurer Rank which will make you acquire more Adventurer skills. Meanwhile Pet Labor is another way to farm those materials that you need for crafting, meatballs, dishes, ygrasil leaf, Eden coin and Exp/Job potions.

4. Endless tower
At level 52 go back to Izlude and talk to the Port Captain to unlock the Endless tower. This where you can get rare items with the help of your friends. Rare items like those mvp loots. There are Mvps on every 10th floor of the tower and you can climb up upto 90th flr, the highest floor you reach the stronger the monsters gets. A tip for mvp monsters on every 10th floor from floor 50 and above is to acquire the stay alert adventurer skill for ranged jobs. There's a corner near the stairs where range skills can reach through, the tank just needs to hold the mvp on that corner while other people snipes below safely. Once you have reached the last floor at least once you can then auto-complete it the next coming week by buying Ancient Tower Golden Ejector using meatball. You can actually use the ejector at any floor that you complete for the next following week if you want to start at the last floor that you reached on your prior week. Et will reset every Monday morning so try to reach the farthest floor as you can.

5. Unlock-able equips
Not all equips are available at the start of the game specially the good ones. You would need to take on a special quest to unlock them per town, Just look for the Minstrel npc on every town. There are side quests that will require certain items which will only unlocks once you completed a specific Minstrel quests. So if you want to get those good equips better complete these quests as soon as you can, be prepared to defeat 300 mobs.

6. Mercenaries
Hire a mercenary if your struggling for quests and solo grinds. Example my Priest was built for full support from the start meaning my damage is too low that killing a bunch of monsters takes so much time. I would always hire Maysa a mage Kitty Cat mercenary to help me farm or to do quests in a much faster pace. You can hire a mercenary one at a time but eventually you will be able to unlock an adventurer skill that will make you hire more.

7. Cooking
Cooking dishes is important as it provides additional buffs & helpful effects like avoiding a death blow or negative buff immunity. Aside from that it can also help you level up your pet's intimacy much faster. As soon as you see that your pet is hungry feed them right away combined with petting your pet.

8. Refine & Enhancement
Other people would say to invest more on Runes but it depends. There are jobs that needs a specific skills in the rune map example is the Meteor storm for High Wizard but for me refining my weapons at least up to +6 would give me more healing percent. You can refine your equips up to +4 safely then after that you can either take your chance on refining more or you can do the safe refine which will require the same item. In safe refining besides Zeni and Oridecon it would also require you to have the same item, the higher the refine is the more same item you need. While enhancing will boost a specific stat on your equips and this one only needs Zeni.

9. Adventurer Rank
Leveling up your Adventurer will give you access to adventurer skills that are very helpful and provides additional stat as well. One of the very important skill there is the auto skill slot, bag slot, stay alert, falcon/wolf perception and the unlimited reset skill/stat/runes at Rank C.

10. Mentorship
Finding a Mentor as early as level 40 is helpful it provides buffs by your mentor, certain item rewards such as gold medal and you'll be given additional Zeni, exp and mentor reward for your daily activities such as board quest etc. It would benefit both the student and mentor as both of you receives rewards for the student's accomplishments.

11. Story Quest
You can take this anytime that you want these are the quests with a red exclamation point. Besides better base and job exp it would also give you access to other items. Completing the Morroc story quest will give you a Reskill items and from Aldebaran main quests and above will give you access to different kind of equipment that you don't see on town npcs.
